MSPCS Graduate Traits
At Miami Shores Presbyterian Church School (MSPCS) we believe that all children have individual gifts to be nurtured. It is our responsibility to identify their unique qualities and provide a dedicated educational experience that develops each child’s academic, social and emotional growth.

The MSPCS Faculty and Staff believe in and recognize the following mission driven characteristics as essential for student’s overall growth; once our school mission has been fully realized in our graduates, those graduates will…

Demonstrate faith in God and an appreciation of His love through consistent Christ-inspired teachings and experiences and by staying positive and having a kind attitude;

Confidently embrace their individual gifts and talents by making connections through the integration of knowledge, setting and achieving attainable goals, and communicating effectively with adults and/or peers;

Embrace a love of learning that inspires confidence to think critically, to listen attentively and to seek opportunities to be innovative, while possessing an intrinsic motivation to continuous knowledge;

Demonstrate an appreciation for different perspectives by working with others empathetically, cooperatively and democratically. They shall use respectful language and act responsibly as they actively listen to the thoughts and opinions of others;

Display a positive self-image through their honesty, integrity and moral and ethical decision-making. They will demonstrate that they understand the power of options, the promise of good judgment, and the rewards of thoughtfulness in the areas of personal behavior and intellectual pursuits.

MSPCS is the first place I remember loving to learn. From PreK to fifth grade, I was immersed in a community that did more than just satisfy my cravings for knowledge, but gave me a true passion for learning itself. At MSPCS, I built the foundation to become the student I am today: my intellect, of course, but also my character. MSCPS taught me to be curious, generous, patient, and creative, amongst many other things, and I am still close with many of my preschool teachers to this day. I could not be more grateful to have begun my life and my academic career at a place like MSPCS.
