Week of the Young Child, April 8-12
Music Monday, 4/8 – Students will perform and enjoy a musical presentation from their peers in the OLE. New additions to the OLE’s Music Wall will be unveiled following the performances. To donate an item to the Music Wall, please choose from our wish list on Amazon or be creative…pots, pans, pvc pipes. Click here for some great ideas! Tasty Tuesday, 4/9 – Students will enjoy a shared snack in the cafeteria. All healthy, yummy snacks are welcome! As the students are being challenged to eat a rainbow, we challenge parents to stretch their creativity to bring new experiences to the children’s taste buds. Work Together Wednesday, 4/10 – Our OLE needs regular tending and our PK4 students will be teaming up with the PK3 kids to show them how it’s done! Send your PK3 and PK4 student to school ready to get a little messy. Kids will clean the play equipment, tend to gardens, and enjoy all involved with working together for a common goal – cleaning up our OLE. More information to come from your child’s PK3/PK4 teachers.
Artsy Thursday, 4/11 – Students will work on various art projects in their classrooms and parents have an opportunity on this day to show off their artistic side! Ms. Mac will need Easter decor donations and assistance decorating the OLE for the Egg Hunts on Thursday, 4/11 and Easter Parties on 4/12. Please click here for more details. Family Friday, 4/12 (noon dismissal) – All of the preschool’s students and staff will be outdoors in the OLE for the Easter Celebration. Families are encouraged to attend. Celebration time: 10:30 – 11:30 am. Room Parents will coordinate food for their classes and all will enjoy the fun outdoors together. Ms. Valencia will coordinate the Room Parent efforts.
