Paying with Credit Card and Debit Card after June 1, 2018 will incur a convenience fee of 2.85%*, per transaction.
For many years MSPCS has accepted credit and debit cards for payment of tuition, student fees, et cetera and paid the processing charges imposed by the credit card companies on those transactions. As the use of these cards has increased, these costs have become prohibitively expensive for the school.
As a service to our parents, we will continue to accept credit and debit cards for the payment of account balances. However, beginning on June 1, 2018, a 2.85%* convenience fee will be added at the time of payment by the credit or debit card company when using a credit or debit card. For example, a $1,000.00 payment to the school will result in a $1,028.50 charge to your credit card.
All costs for choosing to pay with a credit or debit card will be assumed by the family. MSPCS does not receive, nor will it underwrite, any portion of the service charge.
*Note: the 2.85% rate is subject to change by the credit or debit card company.
The school will provide the following payment alternatives that will not incur the convenience fee:
- ACH transfer (E-checks) from your bank account can be processed online through a family’s account.
- Cash, delivered in person at the central office in each building or the Finance Department.
- Checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks delivered or mailed to MSPCS, Finance Department, 602 NE 96 Street, Miami Shores, FL, 33138.
The savings realized from the convenience fee program will be used to support the academic mission of the school and help ensure the quality of the educational experience for our students.
