School Commission
Our school is governed by a School Commission, which is appointed by the Miami Shores Presbyterian Church Session members. Within the School Commission, there are three subcommittees – Personnel, Operations, and Finance & Budget.
The School Commission has a set of detailed by-laws, which clearly delineate the role of the commission versus the school. The Commission works closely with the MSPCS Headmaster to ensure that our students receive the highest quality of education.

Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS)
FCIS is an organization dedicated to the independence and quality of member schools. Through the evaluation and accreditation process, the Florida Council of Independent Schools assures that our school maintains high standards and independence as we fulfill our mission statement. MSPCS successfully meets all criteria set forth by FCIS Bylaws & Standards, we demonstrate financial stability and provide quality education to our students and families.
MSPCS consistently delivers a healthy, happy, and challenging environment, where children are encouraged to grow and develop to the best of their abilities. Our curriculum is planned to nurture the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development of each child.

MSPCS is fully licensed by DCF. Our license number is #X11MD0136. DCF safeguards students and families by licensing children facilities and programs. Our school has demonstrated full responsibility for promoting and ensuring an enhanced level of safety, accountability, and integrity with the children and families we serve.
