Elementary

KINDERGARTEN - 5TH GRADE

ADA SILVA

Kindergarten

Ms. Silva is proud to call MSPCS’ Kindergarten class her home. Ms. Silva has been teaching for 16 years and is taking additional classes toward her BA in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys watching students grow, learn, and develop socially and emotionally. Her passion for teaching and working with children brings joy to her life. Outside the classroom, Ms. Silva enjoys listening to music, going out to eat, and loves dogs.

VANESSA PARADISO

Teachers Assistant, Kindergarten

Ms. Paradiso just finished her bachelor’s of applied science, with a concentration in public safety. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends. She was a substitute for two years and always has loved to teach children!

YAZMIN GARCIA

1st Grade

With a deep passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment, she’s eager to bring experience and enthusiasm to MSPCS. Throughout her teacher career, she’s been driven by the belief that every child has the potential to achieve greatness. She is dedicated to creating a classroom atmosphere where students feel valued, inspired, and excited to learn. Her approach to teaching is rooted in the idea that education should be a joyful and interactive journey, and she strives to make every lesson a meaningful and memorable experience for her students.

MS. ELI

Ms. Eli holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. After working for over 30 years in the field, she decided to pursue a new career that would take her back to her educational roots. Last year she had the opportunity to work with second graders as a teacher’s Assistant. This experience changed her life completely and helped her to discover her passion for teaching early childhood. She loves spending time with her family and friends, her adorable cat, and her garden.

MONICA HALL

2nd Grade

Ms. Hall has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Oakland Michigan. Mrs. Hall has been teaching for several years. She just moved to Miami from Michigan with her husband, and has loved every second of being here! As an educator, she loves to have FUN in the classroom by incorporating real-life applications to all content areas. She adores watching students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally as they understand themselves and each other more every day. Three facts about her: 1. She loves all animals and has 3 cats named Yoko, Lenny, and Cheddar and a Pomeranian dog, Wilson. 2. She loves hiking and being outdoors. 3. She loves to cook! (and eat!)

FRANCISCA BRISSO

3rd Grade

Last year, Ms. Brisso moved to Miami from Chile and truly loves it here! She loves being a part of the amazing MSPCS family. She started teaching second grade and this year is moving to third grade with her students! Ms. Brisso has 9 years of experience, teaching students from PreK to 3rd grade. She is a passionate elementary school teacher, recognizing that each student is special. In her free time, Ms. Brisso loves watching movies, spending time with her family, and going to the beach. Her favorite movie is The Pursuit of Happiness, “don’t ever let someone tell you, you can’t do something. Not even me. If you have a dream, go for it!“.

BRITTANY ANTHONY

4th Grade

We are so glad to welcome Brittany Anthony to MSPCS! She was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Miami, Florida.
She has always had a love for helping our youth. Brittany started tutoring in middle school, has assisted in helping third and fourth graders study for the FCAT. Her career in teaching started back in 2015 as a substitute teacher. She has taught technology and second through fifth grade. Three facts about her: She shares the same birthday as Beyoncé, She cheered for 7
years as a child, and she loves to cook.

EVIE WEDDLE

5th Grade

Ms. Weddle has a Master of Special Education from Barry University and a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Miami.
She is currently completing her graduate coursework in Applied Behavioral Analysis at Florida Institute of Technology. Ms. Weddle believes that teaching is a calling and one of public service. She has great enthusiasm for working with young students knowing they will be tomorrow’s leaders. Her goal is to inspire the students’ curiosity to help them become life-long lovers of learning. When not teaching or furthering her studies, Ms. Weddle enjoys going to live theatre performances with her son and husband, movies, reading, travel, and volunteer work

CHRISTOPHER INGRAM

PE/WIN Coach

Mr. Ingram has been educating students at various grade levels for over ten years. He has a degree in Health, Physical Education, and Mathematics. MSPCS is thrilled that he is moving to PE/Win Coach this year. He enjoys fostering a love of learning in our elementary school students and is a firm believer in Christ. Fun fact…. Mr. Ingram has performed in 30 films!

SUSANA SERRANO

Spanish

Ms. Susana Serrano has studied and taught in Spain, El Salvador, Ecuador, and Argentina. Ms. Serrano earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s in Social Psychology from the University of Barcelona. She is pursuing a degree in Autism Spectrum Disorder from the National University of Spain.

This is her sixth year teaching Spanish at MSPCS and she loves being a part of children’s education.

Ms. Serrano loves going to the beach to recharge her energy and spend time with friends and family. She enjoys playing sports with her two children, especially basketball, which she is still involved with by being a basketball coach for the after school club at MSPCS.

ISIS EDOUARD

Art

Ms. Edouard studied at American InterContinental University and received her BFA. She taught science for 15 years, but her passion has always been art. She has been an artist all her life, winning awards for art since kindergarten. She started painting murals for school plays in the 3rd grade. She has a brain for science, but her heart was made for art! She enjoys making aesthetically pleasing treats, she also loves her pets. This is her fifth year at MSPCS.

Mr. JACOB HOLMES

Music

Mr. Jacob Randall Holmes is a multifaceted media composer, and music director, earning his Bachelor of Music in Composition from Baldwin Wallace University and a Master of Music in Composition from Carnegie Mellon University, Jacob brings a wealth of musical expertise to his work. He also recently earned his terminal degree in Media Scoring and Production for the Frost School of Music. His career in professional musical theater includes roles as Assistant Music Director for Brandon Bush (of Train) and performances at prestigious venues like the Adrienne Arsht Center. He is also MTC’s Musical Director for our Spring and Summer Camps as well as their After School Program. He is also an active Content Creator on multiple platforms.

MARJULIS ROQUE “MS. LULI”

Nursery Lead Teacher

We are so glad Ms. Luli has joined MSPCS. She brings years of experience working with children and brings such joy to our students! Her nurturing nature is infectious and very appreciated!

ANA CASTRILLON

Nursery Teacher Assistant

Ms. Ana has been working in the child care field for ten years. She also has her Behavior Assistant Certificate, with a focus on student behavior. She is so glad to be part of the MSPCS family and to assist in the classes as needed.

IRENE CALHOUN

Lead Teacher 12-24 months

She is a graduate from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. With over 5 years of experience working with children, her favorite part of the job is building bonds with all the little ones. For fun, she enjoys going to the beach, reading, painting, and spending time with both friends and family.

IRMA ENCINA

Lead Teacher, PK2

Originally from Colombia, Mrs. Encina (Mrs. Irma) is DCF Certified with a Child Development Associate credential. She has 24 years of teaching experience. Ms. Irma has been with MSPCS for sixteen years and her favorite color is blue.

MARVELYS LARRAZABAL

Teacher Assistant, PK2

Marvelys Larrazabal, originally from Venezuela, has always had a deep passion for education. From a young age, she aspired to become an educator, leading her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Teaching Biology and Chemistry. Marvelys dedicated many years to teaching before retiring. Five years ago, she moved to the United States and made the decision to continue her teaching career, focusing on her love for working with children. With extensive experience and the completion of necessary training courses, she also obtained the Florida Child Care Professional Credential from Miami Dade College School. In her free time, Marvelys enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and reading. She is deeply thankful to God for the opportunity to work at this school and is excited to continue her journey in education.

MARIA ZARATE

Teacher Assistant, PK3

Maria Zarate ( Ms. María) is DCF-certified in the HighScope Curriculum training program. She has 19 years of experience, this will be her 14th year here at MSPCS. Mrs. Maria has always had a strong love and passion for teaching early childhood education. During her free time, she loves spending time with her family, going to the beach, and traveling.

EVENA LAZARD

Lead Teacher, PK4

Ms. Eve loves children and loves getting them involved in their learning process with lots of hands on learning/teaching. Ms. Eve is continuing to further education and is now taking classes for the AA degree (Associate of Arts in Early Childhood Education). Outside of MSPCS, she enjoys reading.

LAKEISE MARTIN “Ms K”

Teacher Assistant, Pre School

Ms. K is excited to be a part of the MSPCS Family. With over seven years working with children, she started out as a YMCA counselor and worked for Child Care Careers as a Pre-K Substitute. Her plans are to bring creativity, support, and encouragement, as she assists the teacher in learning. Ms. K is a licensed Massage Therapist, but her passion for working with children led her here. In her downtime, she likes to read, draw, write, sing, and spend time with family. One of her favorite places to go is the beach, and anything of nature. This is her 5th year at MSPCS and we are so glad MSPCS is part of her journey.

LAURY JEANPIERRE

Preschool Aftercare Teachers Assistant & Substitute

Laury has been working in childcare for 5 years. She has an AA in early childhood and is currently on the path to further her education in childcare. She enjoys creating tiny food out of polymer clay and loves anything art related.

REVEREND KIM ROBLES

Transitional Pastor

Pastor Kim is an Ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in PC(USA) and has been the Associate Minister and Transitional Minister at MSPC since 2016. She received her BA, Religious Studies Major, and Spanish and Dance Minors from Bates College where she was also a member of the Bates Modern Dance Company. After college, she attended McCormick Theological Seminary with M. Div. Prior to joining our MSPC family, she served as Associate Pastor at Central Presbyterian Church (Miami), spent time in Latin America. Pastor Kim loves to read, going to the beach and most importantly spending time with her daughter, Chloe, and husband, Victor. She loves to teach children about God’s love, since children are the most loving and open-minded people. Pastor Kim enjoys teaching “Bible for Kindy” and being part of the MSPCS community. There is such care and kindness among the students, staff, and families.

SATRINA CHARGUALAF

Head of School

Mrs. Satrina Chargualaf is from the beautiful Pacific Island of Guam, a United States Territory. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Guam with a double major in Education and East Asian Studies. Furthering her education, she attained her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Portland, Oregon, and completed her Principal’s Licensure Program at the University of Denver, Colorado. Mrs. Chargualaf is not only accomplished academically but also athletically, having represented the University of Guam’s Lady Tritons in basketball and competing in the XVI Summer Universiade Games in Sheffield, England.

With a passion for both teaching and coaching basketball, Mrs. Chargualaf has coached students from various age groups, spanning from three-year-old children to high schoolers. She has a passion for organizing enriching educational experiences, including international field trips to events like the Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention in Fukuoka, Japan, and facilitating student exchanges and study tours across cities such as Gifu, Shizuoka, and Yaizu. Additionally, her basketball teams have showcased their skills at the Far East Basketball Tournaments in Okinawa and Yokosuka. 

Bringing over 25 years of educational expertise to the MSPCS School Community, Mrs. Chargualaf is well-versed in lesson planning, curriculum development, and effective instructional pedagogies. Beyond the classroom, she finds joy in going to the beach, traveling, going to plays/theater, and listening to music. Her husband, Tai, is a Civil Service Merchant Mariner under the Military Sealift Command

LUISA BERNAL-BLANCO “Mrs. Blanco”

Preschool Director

Mrs. Blanco has a Child Development Associate Degree and credentials as a Preschool Director. She has eleven years of teaching experience in early childhood through kindergarten. This is her tenth year with MSPCS. Ms. Luisa loves cooking and baking. She enjoys spending time with her family, especially with her nieces. Her favorite books are “The Grouchy Ladybug“ and “Miss Nelson is Missing“.

RENAE BONDS

MSPCS Chaplain

With over 25 years of experience in education, Ranae brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our community. Originally from Miami, FL, she has returned after 20 years away, eager to share her love and guidance with us. Ranae sees the heart, joy, and humor of God in children, and she believes her calling is to help them become resilient, resourceful, and ready in Him. Beyond her dedication to her calling, Ranae enjoys learning, reading, arts and crafts, listening to music, and beach outings. We feel immensely blessed and honored to welcome her into our amazing church and school!

DAISY HIDALGO

Preschool Administrative Assistant

For the past eight years, Ms. Daisy has worked in the elementary school and preschool, so she knows many of our families. She has 20+ years of school administration experience and has her hours from DCF. Ms. Daisy loves the family feel of MSPCS which reminds her of growing up and going to school. She loves the fact that the MSPCS curriculum still provides students with art, music, Spanish, PE, and library time when so many schools have had to cut these classes out of their budgets. Ms. Daisy loves the outdoors, going to the beach, camping, traveling, her family (including her furry and feathered ones), and above all God!

JAYLEEN SANTOVENIA

Elementary School Office

Ms.Jayleen has worked in Nonprofits for aftercare and it inspires her to continue working with children. She is currently in college studying psychology and loves spending time at the beach with friends. With a warm smile and a passion for helping others, she is here to ensure that your experience at MSPCS is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. STEVEN SILVESTRO

Director of Accounting and Finance

Mr. Silvestro has a degree in Accounting and over twenty-six years of experience in auditing, accounting, and finance. Mr. Silvestro is a ruling elder and Treasurer for First Presbyterian Church, Hollywood. This is his fourth year with MSPCS.
