Core Values
At MSPCS we are guided by our mission and the core values we share: Dignity, Confidence, Forgiveness, Peace, and Fulfillment. These values define who we are as a community, and mold our students’ experience.
DIGNITY
In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets. – Matthew 7:12
CONFIDENCE
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not reached perfection in love. – 1 John 4:18
FORGIVENESS
Happy are those whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. – Psalm 32:1
PEACE
For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you. – Isaiah 54:10
FULFILLMENT
For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. – Jeremiah 29:11
Welcome!
Dear MSPCS Families:
We are One.
Welcome to our vibrant Miami Shores Presbyterian Church School Community! We are excited to introduce you to our unique “N-5 Model” school, a hidden gem that serves students from Nursery through 5th grade. With just one class per grade level, we pride ourselves on offering smaller class sizes and personalized attention, ensuring each child receives the academic support they need to excel to excellence.
At MSPCS, we believe that education extends beyond academics. We are dedicated to nurturing social emotional development through our classroom activities, Bible class, and Chapel sessions. Our close-knit staff fosters a strong sense of family, and we are committed to building positive relationships with both students and families. We consider this supportive environment to be the cornerstone of our school community.
Our Mission is to offer a Christ inspired educational experience where academic excellence is nurtured and students are treasured and respected. Our Vision is that we believe that all children are unique in the eyes of God. Therefore, our vision is to promote Spiritual knowledge, develop emotional knowledge and cultivate life readiness.
As we embark on the 2024-2025 school year, we are excited to introduce new leadership opportunities for our students. Look forward to a school-wide Student Council and 5th Grade Safety Patrol. Our academic activities will include a Spelling Bee, essay presentations, writing prompts, and trivia. We will also be integrating “College and Career Readiness” and “21st Century Skills” into our curriculum.
Our after-school enrichment offerings are diverse and engaging, featuring clubs such as art, basketball, Bible study, book club, brainwork, gardening, Japanese language and culture, and NEXPLORE’s K-5 Build-a-Bot class, K-2 Flight and Aerodynamic/3-5 Drones, and K-5 Robotics with Edison as part of our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) program.
On behalf of our entire MSPCS Staff, we warmly invite you to join us in this exciting journey. Together, we will create memorable and enriching educational experiences for your child.
We look forward to partnering with you for an outstanding school year!
